The Beginning
The Entryways, Doorways, Gates & Passageways Into Spirit Camp and your Journey from Head to Heart:
For 99% of people it begins with what I have affectionately termed “D Words”. Experiences of pain and horrible hurt.
- Death
- Divorce
- Disability
- Depression
- Distress
- Disaster
- Debilitating Illness or Circumstances
- Diseases
- Drunkenness
- Drugs
- And any Addictive Behavior which impedes your happiness.
These are some of the original forces which propel us into searching for a better way. Avoiding the pain which comes with any of the above.
First there is the being thrust through the initial Doorway. Usually by what we consider to believe to be “unfortunate circumstances”, “Bad Luck” or even the result of another person’s or employer’s intentional disregard or ill will towards us.
Then we awaken to what is going on.
Then the journey begins…or for about 85% or more of people, the traveler does not begin the journey, but returns to the status quo or hides deeper with an addictive behavior or denial. Resistance to any change is normal for everyone. Spirit Camp will help you move through your resistance.
Awakening is an expression for “seeing things”.
The “Pathway” often describes the way of the journey from the Head into the Heart. The Pathway is never lineal or predictable. There are many unforeseen events along the way.
Change is the only constant in the Universe. Often on the Spiritual Path the traveler makes many changes. Some by choice and others instituted by others.
Enlightenment arrives to a traveler who has been persistent, honest, usually sought help at times in the journey, who surrenders to a higher power and who has learned to love and forgive. Enlightenment means a full awareness of who you are, your talents and shortcoming, your feelings. You keep both negative and positive emotions, as enlightenment does not mean eliminating your negative feelings... just becoming aware of them when they arise and acting appropriate to the situation. Your behavior and actions, NOT your beliefs, are what tell the world and yourself the level you have reached. It is a contuous journey which moves you to new levels of life as you go along.
