- Gained a Masters Degree in Counseling in 1994 and has provided counseling, and educational workshops and seminars for adults and businesses since then.
- Is now focusing on Spirituality for Individuals, Organizations & Businesses.
Through his work as an attorney Phil has assisted people through serious traumatic events such as:
- Death of a loved one.
- Dying…estate planning and grief assistance for the dying.
- Serious Bodily Injuries
- the lawsuit’s attempt to make someone whole
- assisting them with their emotional depression while injured and adjusting to their temporary and permanent losses - Divorce
- The gut wrenching “personal injury” to both parties & their children
- And their families and friends.
- Seeking a “sane” method and process with mutual respect - Anger
- Helping law clients adjust to the realities they can’t stand and the inherent “unfairness of the system and life”
After working as an Attorney for years, Phil became more interested in the “People Dynamics”. Why the same people kept coming in for a 2nd and 3rd divorce. Why did business people repeatedly sue customers or employees. People seeming to be living on autopilot in repeating negative patterns. How death, divorce, depression and terminal disease affected people’s ability to find peace and happiness in life.
From those experiences Phil sought out a Master’s Degree in Counseling, 4 Graduate Classes in Art Therapy/Art Express and many workshops as well as personal counseling to confront his own experiences with depression, stress and his personal journey in life.
Counseling individuals, groups since 1994 on part time basis and Teaching Anger Management classes once or twice each month for either 8 or 16 hours during those years has given Phil a wide experience in identifying common human problems.
Phil has developed an easy communication style and the ability to help people see where they are holding themselves back from a happier and more productive life.
Phil is a continual student of life, a teacher of effective spiritual principles. Teaching Love is the highest calling Phil has ever answered. Love, is the most powerful force in life. The easiest thing to say and talk about and the hardest thing to apply and put into action. Phil has seen many lives totally transformed by assisting people in learning how to apply Love to their daily living.
Initially most people are highly resistant to using Love in the hard parts of their lives. Learning how to use it when “bad things happen to good people” is the real magic. Phil, along with his students, is still working every day to use Love in better and better ways. The maxim that "We teach what we need to learn and keep learning" is true for every teach of "The Path of Heart".
Welcome to Spirit Camp and your happier living,
Phil Friberg
